Very excellent inn! The food is terrific, down to earth and the price is more than acceptable. The service is attentive and always very polite. Both outside and inside there is an absolute feel-good atmosphere! We have been there many times and definitely come back regularly. Really highly recommended. PS: if you appreciate good wine, this is the right place for you!

Simply fantastic!

A bit old in appearance. But clean in all corners and very friendly people, delicious breakfast. The beer garden and the food are very recommendable, priced a bit higher.

At the age of 13 I was here for the first time, accompanied by my parents. I am now 42 years old and cannot praise how great Michael continues to run his family's business and kitchen. A top address for those who love culinary at a fair price.

Great food, nice place to stay

I was in the hotel and in the inn. I come to the hotel first, it is certainly not the most modern hotel, but it is. very clean, the staff is very friendly, it is quiet, in the evening it can be difficult with the parking, but I think it's okay. Now the inn, which is really great, the staff really great, the food was delicious, a real recommendation. For the hotel I would give 4 stars.

For a few years now we have been eating in the cross many times, because it simply tastes delicious every time and the food is worth its price. The service was always very good at the beginning. Lately there have been many new faces and the quality of the service has declined a lot in our opinion. We are compared to the other clientele a very young couple and have recently the feeling, as paying guests not to be taken seriously. Orders were taken but forgotten (in our last visit even in four cases) forgot, we were not paid attention for a long time, even offered as the only table no bread. We felt second class and on our last visit despite the good food no pleasant evening there. From the waitress our criticism was not well received. The boss was very friendly and apologized to us in the name of the inn. We will probably not come as often as before.

Nice old fashioned restaurant. I was looking forward to the seasonal white asparagus but they ruined it by boiling it in sugar water and it was sadly inedible. I did dip the good German bread into the hollandaise sauce though.

Very friendly and professional service

Nice hotel held by an extremely kind and friendly family. Quite area. Good breakfast. You will find that the hotel owners have put out some free snacks for their guests (different kinds of baked goods or fruits). The hotel also has a restaurant, do check their opening days and times carefully. They are not always open. The "Flußkrebs/Salat „Asiatisch“ " is legendary, try it. If you like hiking you are in the right spot. A bus stop with a bus taking you to Freiburg at least every half an hour is nearby the hotel. A bank & cash machine as well as a small store for the necessary is also in walking distance.

Comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and a wonderful traditional restaurant serving Schwarzwald specialities, set in a charming hamlet with great walking nearby. The varied breakfast is worth a visit alone.
